The Heart of the Matter

Some of the clues to our purpose is in what we can tolerate and are built to endure. Out of the heart (inner spirit, our capacity to manage things) flows the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23).  A thumb size heart cannot function at the capacity of fist size heart. We always respond to life according to our capacity (our heart).

It is not always about our talent, who we know or our intelligence/education.  It is also about our capacity for what we desire, Frustration will come if we are built to do 40 MPH but are stuck in a 5 MPH life. Some of us are living with "heart damage" - the residue of what has happened to us is blocking our heart valve. Our personality can cancel out our prayer life. We will pray for something but our mean, negative, narrow minded, judgmental, abrasive, inflexible, unadaptable life will keep us from receiving our blessing/answered prayer. God cannot transform us if we are not flexible and we will lose opportunities. Our life gets morphed down to the level of our maturity/adaptability/ability to deal with issues. Sometimes church folk do church better than we do life.

Is our life a reflection of what we were built for or is it a reflection of our situations? Are we living in the highest and best use of our life? Can you imagine what life would look like if you climbed to a higher perspective to view it?  Our provision is on the level of our vision.

Our next blessing or opportunity will likely not come with a manual.  We are rarely given instructions on how to walk in our influence. We will have to humble ourselves and become a student of our new opportunity or we will lose it.

Our vision aligns with our capacity. Only God can create in us the heart to sustain His vision in us. We must pray "Lord create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit in me" (Psalm 51:10)
